Renata specializes in Customs and Tax Law. Over the past twenty years, in reputable law firms, she has provided consulting and advisory services to national, multinational and trading companies operating in foreign trade, aiming to minimize costs and risks in the import and export of products in the Brazilian market, combined with the maximization of tax benefits.

Her field of activity encompasses the most diverse tax and customs matters, including import modalities, customs valuation, tariff classification, rules of origin, special customs regimes: temporary import / export regimes, customs warehouses, free trade zones and processing zones. She also has experience in tax planning related to foreign trade operations in various sectors, such as automotive, clothing, information technology, cosmetics, luxury market, etc. She was a Counselor of the Former Taxpayers Council, currently the Administrative Tax Appeals Council (CARF) of the Ministry of Finance, as a Taxpayers’ representative, participating in judgments of the last administrative tax instance.

She has participated as a guest speaker in courses offered by various trade associations on the following topics: “Customs Valuation”, “Import Taxation”, “Goods Tariff Classification” and “Import Contributions”.
